Windows Dead Messenger vs Skype

Windows Dead Messenger vs Skype

In 2011, Microsoft acquired Skype. The Skype is the most popular VoIP client in the world. With the recent releases, they have also strengthened its instant messaging abilities by connecting Windows Live and Facebook accounts with your Skype ID. Now its a fully featured instant messenger owned by Microsoft! Microsoft already have their own messenger : The Windows Live Messenger. Now they have two… Too much work? Then kill one!

That’s exactly what they are going to do. After March, the Windows Live Messenger will stop working except for China. You won’t be able to login to the app. If you still want to keep chatting with your buddies, switch to Skype. As I said earlier, with the recent updates, Microsoft have added the ability to use your Windows Live ID to login into Skype. So, all your Live contacts will be available in the new messenger. Have anything to lose? I don’t think so.

So, if you are still using the Live Messenger, consider trying Skype from today! Like it or not, you’ll have to adapt to it because after March, the Live Messenger will become the Dead Messenger!
