If you are a person who don’t have time to open a different tab to check emails… If you are a person who always work with the browser and can’t spare one tab for your emails… If you are a person who can’t miss your emails and want to get notifications as soon as they arrive in your inbox… You might want to look at MailTab for Gmail!
This small app will sit on your menu bar and let you use Gmail without moving away from your current work. It’s very simple… After installing MailTab for Gmail, you just have to give it your Gmail credentials and the app will take care of the rest.
There are many apps out there which will let give you simple notifications for new mail. But those apps direct you to the browser if you need to reply to them. But MailTab for GMail is different. It allows you to reply to your emails right from the menu bar! Not only that, you can even compose new messages through it!
In the preferences, you can tweak few settings which will let you control the notifications, the auto start behaviour, and the shortcuts. It also let you sign in for multiple Gmail accounts. If you have more than one mail boxes to monitor like me, this will be a great choice. But as the name implies, its only for Gmail. If you are using any other mail system, then you are out of luck!
