What will you do if you need to draw something on your PC? Use your mouse? It will work but drawing on a paper is better. Don’t you think? You are used to draw like that. Because of this, expert designers sometimes use graphic tablets. You can place them on your table and draw on it like drawing on paper. The picture will appear on your screen. But why use a special graphic tablet if you have an Android tablet?

The Gimpusers team have built the XorgTablet app which can be used to turn your Android tablet into a graphic tablet. To do this, you need to have a Linux machine running Gimp. The app will connect to Gimp over WiFi. Then you have to select it as the input device on Gimp. Then you can start drawing on your tablet! The picture will get created on your PC screen.

The app need Android 4.0 or above. It’s not available in the Play Store yet. So you have to download the apk and manually install it. In the future, they might ease things out!

The app is really great but if you are a graphic designer, you might still want to use a graphic tablet because some Android tablets won’t be sensitive enough to pressure… But if you are a normal user who need to try it, go ahead…
