With the recent updates (Version 2012 and 2013), Bitdefender Antivirus has become the most easy to use anti virus system on earth. The key feature which make things easy for us is the “Autopilot”. The new Safe Play feature is a specially secured browser running in a sand-boxed environment. It’s really hard to hack your data from it. Sometimes, you might forget to use this feature. Don’t worry, Bitdefender will automatically ask you to switch to Safe Play when ever you are trying to do online banking or shopping.

Another new feature we saw in the new release is the USB Immunizer. We all know that USB drives are one of the top mediums which carry malware between computers. USB Immunizer is built to make your USB drive immune to malware attacks by locking down the autorun file.
The Safe Social Networking feature is not new but it’s really effective. It keeps you safe from threats you face in your networks like Facebook and Twitter. It scans the links shared by your friends and also monitor your privacy settings. Now this is a really innovative feature which we doesn’t see in many security systems. It’s really useful for the modern world.
Bitdefender won’t let you give up even if your system is totally messed up by malware. You can use the Rescue Mode which will launch a separate Linux environment and scan your system without even booting to Windows. It’s really useful for heavily damaged systems. But I wish they could take it out from their own Linux environment and release it as a separate Linux antivirus!
