In our previous post, we discussed whats the best printer for home users. Now we are going to see whats the best paper to use with your printer. Sometimes, you can lose the quality of your print by choosing the wrong paper. For example, we don’t use high gloss photo papers to print letters… We don’t use normal papers for poster printing. Each task have a different paper… But with the bad choice you’ll lose not just the quality, you can even lose your printer!

When buying papers, be careful. Never go with the cheap stuff. Cheap low quality papers can cause several problems… Paper jams can be caused because of low quality paper. The printer might try to draw several papers at once or won’t draw anything at all. If you get a paper jam, most users start to attack the printer until it pass away!

It’s not only the low quality paper… Even the highest quality sheets can bring disaster if you use them with the wrong printer. A normal printer doesn’t support every kind of paper in the market. Photo printers are specially built where it can even print on thick photo boards. If you try to put a photo board into a normal home printer, it’ll get jammed! So, watch your step. Always read the guidelines given my the printer manufacturer. Only use paper types which they recommend.

Some big companies like HP and Epson have their own papers. There might be a lot of papers which are better than their ones, but you can trust these because they build these papers specially to work with their printers. So, if you have a HP printer, try to use HP paper. If its Epson, they also have their own products. Then its even easy to claim for warranty if something goes wrong!

This is something small which most users won’t care. It starts small but ends big. So, next time you pick the right paper, do some research and pick the best one which your printer asks or else…!
