Some prefer placing their ads on places like Google and Facebook. Some want to post free ads on class field sites. Still, many want to buy banners and links from our blogs. Most of us used to accept all these ads because they pay well! But aren’t you getting too greedy?
Actually, most of the blogging community depend on ads. We find money by selling ads on our sites. But it should not go out of control. We should stay focused on our main goal. If we need to make money, we also need to bring readers to our blog. Advertisers want blogs which have visitors. They don’t want dead blogs! It’s a simple equation which most of the bloggers doesn’t understand.
There are some sites which have been filled with ads. They only post articles according to the advertisers’ needs. Not what the readers want. At the end, the readers will stop visiting the site and the traffic rankings will drop. No visitors, no advertisers! The blog will ultimately die off! So, do you want that to happen? If not, follow these steps when accepting ads :
Don’t accept too many ads :
Keep a limit. Accept only a limited number of banners and links. Too many links can ruin your search engine rankings. Too many banners can make things ugly. So, be careful. Keep the quality of your site.
Place the ads in an un-obstructive manner :
Most of us place our ads all over the site. Including within the posts. This will make sure the reader will see the ad but what if he’s not satisfied in the way they start to pop up? First, win the heart of your reader and then show them the ads.
Thoroughly check the quality of the ad before accepting :
Check whether the ad is linking to a malware or a scam site. Check their reputation. Check whether the niche of that site match your blog. Check whether the banner he is giving match your site. Be strict and accept only quality advertisers.
Always think twice before accepting any advertisers into your site. A wrong step and you can lose your readers and then the advertisers! So, don’t step over the line!
