Recently, Bitdefender released a major version of their famous anti-virus suit to improve the revolution they started earlier. This time, it’s better, faster and more stable than before!

Unlike the previous version, this one is really stable and very light on the resources. So, if you faced system slowdowns and net slowdowns in the previous version, you’ll be glad to know that Bitdefender 2013 have all of them fixed.
One of the biggest new featured added to this version is the Safe Play. Completely securing your web browser is really hard because they also need to focus on many other factors like speed and compatibility. But what if we have a special browser only for critical work like online banking? Safe Play does that! It’s a separate browser developed by Bitdefender. It opens in a separate environment detached from your normal desktop. It’s really safe and you can use it when it comes to high critical work!
Another new feature is the USB Immunizer. Earlier, they developed it as a separate product which aims to eradicate viruses spreading through USB devices. Already Bitdefender automatically scan every removable device you insert into your system. Now, it even make it impossible for these pests to crawl into your USB device. Not only from your machine, if it’s immunized from your system, if you carry it and plug it on a friend’s computer which have the malware and doesn’t have Bitdefender, still the malware won’t be able to infect your USB. But if you format it from that machine… (You are doomed!)
Bitdefender 2013 also scans faster. The initial scan might take some time but after that things will really speed-up. The improved Rescue Mode will allow you to recover a badly infected system by scanning it from outside Windows! One of the biggest features that I love!
The mobile version of Bitdefender have a really good anti-theft tool. When activated, you can locate, lock and even completely format your lost device. Now, its available in their desktop security suit. If you have a laptop, then this might be really useful. You can actually control your whole machine remotely through the web interface.
The new Bitdefender now comes with a cool Desktop Gadget. A nice little tool which will sit in your desktop and let you know whats going on in the system! I find it really nice!
Apart from these new features, most of the other stuff including Autopilot (You don’t have to change any settings. Bitdefender will adjust them for you), Parental Control, the User Interface and many more have been improved.
Better, more stable and really effective. The problem I had with earlier Bitdefender is the stability and the performance impact. Though it’s the number one malware hunter, it made things really hard. But now, its solved and the program is really solid and fast. Now I use it in all my machine without ay problem!
