BoxCryptorLast time we wrote about BoxCryptor… The powerful real-time file encryption software suitable to encrypt your cloud storage accounts like Dropbox and Google Drive.

The biggest advantage of this software is the real-time encryption. Earlier, most of the strong encryption software like True Crypt used to create one big file to store all the encrypted files. The problem of this method is, when used in a cloud storage system like Dropbox, the whole file needs to be uploaded every time we change something small. Most of the time we are dealing with gigabytes! But Box Cryptor encrypts each file individually and it does this in real-time. Perfect for cloud storage systems!

Most of Box Cryptor is free. But the free version allows you to encrypt only 1 drive. If you have 2 Dropbox accounts, this can encrypt only 1. It also doesn’t provide file name encryption and dedicated support services. If you need those features, you need to buy this software. But today, we are giving it for free!

    Boxcryptor is simply a must program if you want to use cloud storage with any degree of confidence.
    I have been using it (the free vesion) for more than a year now and never experienced a glitch. Simply a killer app for cloud storage.

    Nobody should use cloud storage services without encrypting his data. BoxCryptor is an easy to use application for the encryption of data to be stored in the cloud. In order to use cloud storage services for business purposes I need a full license.
