Pear OS

Most of you are Linux or Windows users. You might not have even touched an OSX machine. But, some of you might be dreaming to try Mac OSX. But the biggest problem is, OSX cannot be installed on every machine… Its coming pre-installed on Macs. But there are ways to install it on a normal machine but they are illegal and some times, unsuccessful… So, can’t we feel the power of an OSX machine without buying a Mac or by breaking the law?

Long time ago, we showed you how to get the look and feel of OSX in your Linux system. This method is a bit out of date and there are newer themes and plugins to do this. If you have enough time, you can find a lot of Mac themes for Linux

Today we are not going to talk about themes… Pear OS is a complete Linux distribution build on Ubuntu. The target of Pear OS is to give an OSX experience for the user. They are trying to follow Apple very closely. They even took their site down and added a small note before releasing the new Pear OS 3.0, just like what Apple does before a major product release. The look and feel are very similar to OSX. A launcher, an app store, Mac icons, Launchpad and many more stuff have been added to Pear OS.

But trust me, even though things look nice and cool… You might find it difficult to adopt to this environment. Actually, I don’t know about you, but I find it a bit difficult to adopt… But, I really need that look on my system…

So, what do you think? Will you try it out? If you do, please come back and leave a comment!
